The Legendary High Roller Returns — Maximum Protection DH Casing

The Maxxis High Roller III sits between the Assegai and the Shorty in the Maxxis gravity lineup — the perfect front tyre for shoulder season, mixed enduro conditions, and hero dirt. Its hybrid tread design delivers the soil penetration of a wet-weather mid-spike while retaining the cornering control and hard-surface traction of a dry tyre. Already a World Cup winner at Mont Sainte Anne under Jackson Goldstone in its debut season.

This version uses the Downhill (DH) casing — two layers of 60 TPI material combined with a large butyl sidewall insert for the most durable and protective option in the High Roller III range. Paired with 3C MaxxGrip, Maxxis' stickiest compound. E25 certified for e-bikes up to 25 km/h. The choice for bike park laps, shuttle days, and long-travel e-MTBs where casing integrity is non-negotiable.

Key Features

  • Hybrid tread design — open centre spacing clears debris; large, well-supported side knobs for extreme cornering forces
  • 3C MaxxGrip compound — Maxxis' stickiest, slowest-rebounding rubber; used by World Cup DH and EWS athletes
  • Downhill (DH) casing — dual 60 TPI layers plus large butyl sidewall insert for maximum flat and rim strike protection
  • Tubeless Ready (TR) — lower pressures for better grip, compliance, and puncture resistance
  • E25 certified — suitable for e-bikes with pedal assist up to 25 km/h
  • Wide Trail (WT) casing — optimised for modern 30–35mm internal width rims
  • Folding bead
  • Sits between the Assegai and Shorty — perfect for Scotland's mixed and loamy trail conditions
